Pets

Was it hard or easy to get a picture of your pet? Why or why not? What makes this a good photo?
I used a stuffed animal as my pet so it was easy to get the picture. I like my pet picture because it is a portrait of and elephant and you can see it's trunk and it's sitting up right.

Point of View
In the point of view picture you uploaded, what made point of view unique? From what angle did you shoot it?
The point of view that is unique is that I took the photo from a birds eye view so you can see her face in a different way.
Double Exposure
Describe how you created this image.  What is the focal point in your picture? Do you like the look of a double exposure? Why or why not?
i created this image my exposing the picture to two different negatives before developing it. the focal point of the picture is the people walking in the breezeway. I kind of like the image, but I think it could of come out better because it looks very gray and i would like to see more of a contrast.

Reflection
How did you capture your Reflection? Did you get any unexpected image in your picture?
I got the reflection of the sky and the window onto the sunglasses. The glasses were nice and shiny so the picture came out very nice. I got the reflection I was looking for without anything unexpected.

Close Up

Did you have any trouble getting a close up image? Is your background blurry or in focus? What do you like best about close up photos?
I didn't have too much trouble because the flowers were nice and still and easy to capture. My background isn't has focused and the main image but it still isn't too blurry. My favorite part about up close pictures is that you can really see the details in the image clearly.

Architecture

How could your architecture picture be used? Be sure to describe your picture in your answer.
This picture could be used in a advertisement to come and see the McGuffy Art center because it shows people walking up the steps to go see the art that is displayed in the center.

Photoshop- Blemish Removal
Original Image

After blemishes Removed
Is this a helpful technique to know?
This is a very helpful technique to know because whenever you have something in your image that you want to get rid of, you can. From pimples to pieces of mulch anything can be removed.

Photoshop- Background Change

What you like and what you did not like about changing the background?
I liked that you could see an image that you would never be able to capture in real life, I didn't like how hard it was to put the different background in only the place you wanted it without cutting out other parts of your original image that you want to keep.

Panning and Light

I absolutely love my panning photo because I think the camera really capture the spinning of the basketball well. I also like the greyness of the cement and how it also highlights the motion of the ball.

I think my Light photo came out very well. I love how the phone really captures the light on it. I think it looks really cool with all of the open space of the gym around it. the rule of thirds was also a part of highlighting the spot light on the phone.

Scav Hunt ... Portrait

My studio portrait came out very well. I really like how well the light shines on her face and highlights her hands in praying position. I also really like how she isn't looking at the camera or even facing in it's direction.

My Scavenger Hunt picture of the piano came out extremely well. the flash of the camera really highlights each key and shows how long the piano really is. I really liked how old a re worn down the piano was because it really added character.

Depth of Field

hope this assignment gave you a better understanding of how the camera's aperture works to focus on objects near and far.
1. Upload both pictures you printed and write down the camera's aperture and shutter speed for each one.
2. With your artist statement tell how the aperture opening effected the focus and how that focus makes your picture look. Don't forget to use art vocabulary to define your image.

These pictures came out very well, I had to use manual focus to make sure the picture highlighting the certain points I wanted. I think I like the close up one of the leaf the best.

Dodge and Burn

What did you think of dodging and burning?
Did you enjoy the process?
Will you ever use it again? Why or why not?

I thought dodge abd burning was a very usefull tool that you could use whenever you wanted to highlight a certain spot in your image. It was great to be able to change parta of my image wothout touching other parts I wanted to remain the same.
I did enjoy the process it was very simple and easy to do and understand. I love all of the things it does to improve my image.
I would use it again because it really helped me make certain parts of my image stand out which led to and overall improvement of the picture

Solarization

-Describe your photograph to me.
-Talk about the timing of your solarization process and how it determined your results.
-When would you ever use this process for a final print?

My picture was of a tennis ball that was placed in the center of a white line bordering the football field.
I did my sollarization for about 5 seconds which resulted in a darker image with clear black lines covering the permitter of  every object in the image.
I would use this for a final print whenever my iamge wasnt as clear as I would like it to be.

High Contrast

Did you get high contrast out of both pictures? Why? Was it your subject matter or did your enlarger settings create the strong contrast or both?
Do you like how your images turned out? Why or why not?

No I didn't get high contrast in these images. This is because of my subject matter. I am no happy at how my images turned out, because they did not have high contrast.
